One morning a few years ago, I woke up and saw that someone had stolen my phone, laptop, and other valuables. Since then, I have become obsessed with safety and security at my house. That led me to install tracking apps on my devices so that if someone steals any of them, I can still track it. Hoverwatch was was of those that I tried. And today, I want to share my experience so that you can also track your phone in case you lose it or it's stolen.
There are many reasons why you may need a monitoring software:
Hoverwatch is an app that can solve all these problems within a few taps. I tried keeping my phone under the couch to test the app. It worked flawlessly. You can also track your phone's logs using this app in case you can't find it.
Apart from tracking your phone, there are a few more things that you need to consider before buying a spying app.
I started using Hoverwatch to monitor my phone in case I lose it. You can also install it in the phones of your kids so that they don't lose their phones ever.
Word of caution though: Please don't install this to track other people without their consent (including partners, spouses, husbands, wives, etc.). That is against the law.
Hoverwatch is a multifunctional spy app designed to meet your monitoring needs. It gives you access to your target device's real-time location, calendar details, camera, internet history, locations, call history, contact details, text messages, etc. In fact, I find this app very handy as monitor communication and social media apps, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.
This spy software works with almost all versions of Windows, Mac, and Android phones. It automatically runs on Stealth Mode, allowing you to monitor your target device without getting detected. The app comes with a host of features, such as:
It tracks all your calling activities like call date, time, duration, contact name and number of the caller, type of call, call recording, and call tracking. Many call recordings reveal patterns for times, duration, and type of caller. This helps you determine whether you should intercept the calls or block them completely.
You can track the time and date of posts on social media websites even if your kid is 1000 miles away from you, for example. The app also monitors media files and SMS messages exchanged from your target device. It works on almost any social media app you can think of, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber, Instagram, and Snapchat.
This software also monitors your target device's internet browsing history. It creates a list of websites that was surfed from the phone. In addition, you can also ban specific websites using this app.
Monitoring internet browsing also allow you to prevent your kids from accessing adult websites. You can also block unwanted websites that employees may tend to surf from their company phones. For example, accessing casino or betting websites that don't have anything to do with their work.
While it is unethical to read someone else's text message, you shouldn't hesitate to use the app if your son or daughter is getting obscene messages from unknown numbers. With this spy software, you can not only monitor SMS messages but also multi-media messages and emails.
If your child is in danger and he/she will be away for some time, I would recommend installing this app before they leave your house. You can block a number that constantly sends inappropriate text messages at any hour of the day.
This is one of the most crucial features of this app that allows you to track your target device anytime anywhere. It can track your device even if someone turns off its WiFi and GPS. But it only works within a specific geographic location. For example, location tracking will be effective within your state. If a thief steals your phone and flees to another state or country, you may not be able to track it if the WiFi and GPS are off.
This software is completely safe as it maintains your privacy. It will never reveal whether anyone is tracking a device. I have tried tracking my second Android phone using Hoverwatch. Even while using the second phone, I didn't notice that there was an app tracking it 24/7.
You need to register on their website and download the software on your target device. The website provides three (3) download links, depending on the types of devices you want to monitor, such as Android, Mac, or Windows. Install the app on the target device. The app icon will hide automatically. You can track all the activities from the number you had provided while registering.
They provide a 7-day trial period after which you need to select a paid plan. There are three plans available: personal, professional, and business.
There are no refunds once you make the payment. You can, however, choose not to upgrade to a paid plan once the trial period ends.
Yes, they provide a 7-day trial period to all its users. If you love the app, you can keep using it but you need to choose from one of the paid plans mentioned above. I found the monthly and quarterly plans to be pricey. So, I chose their annual personal plan. I even checked the internet thoroughly to find discount coupons, but found none.
Before using this product, I checked some of the other spying apps available online. Here are three alternatives that I found were close:
mSpy provides almost all the features that Hoverwatch offers and its paid plans are also cheaper but it doesn't work on Windows phones and computers. Since I had a Windows computer, I couldn't install it eventually. But of course it has its own merits which you can read about here.
WebWatcher works on almost any device, such as Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, PC, and Android. It monitors these devices flawlessly. The only drawback I found in this app is it didn't allow me to ban sites or numbers like Hoverwatch. We talk more about WebWatcher here.
XNSPY is more similar to mSpy than Hoverwatch. It covers all the spying features discussed above and is also cheaper. But it doesn't support Windows devices. It has many other features that may be useful to you though. We review it here.
For me, Hoverwatch is a lifesaver. After the robbery, I became paranoid about the safety and security of my gadgets. Thankfully, I came across spy apps like Hoverwatch, and now I can breathe a sigh of relief. I would recommend this app to everyone who wants to keep their phones safe. If you want to check it out…
